Now it's my turn to write my boys a letter...

Dearest Carter and Myles,

My life would mean nothing without you! I know that is extremely strongly put, but it's true. Everyday you bring me so much joy and happiness, the likes in which I have never known. Plus, you are so stinkin' cute!

Carter, the other day you asked me if I found you a step-dad yet. You told me that I need to have someone to kiss and hug like your dad and step-mother do. Last night, you encouraged your brother to brush his teeth and get into bed, then proceeded to make sure I was warm on the couch. You tell me daily how much you love me and how pretty you think I am. You constantly want to hold and love on your brother and cousins. When people are sad, and cry around you, you wipe their tears and try everything possible to make them laugh. You are the goodness that all mankind should be. I am so in love with who you are!

Myles, oh Myles... Every morning, around 2 am, you run down the hall to make sure I'm in my bed. Then you run back to your room, grab your Seminole pillow and giraffe-y, and QUIETLY sneak into my room. (As if I would have no idea that you're coming). Every morning, I wake up to your wonderful, sweet face, and drool. You are so strong willed and brave in all that you do. You are my fighter and my rock. I love that right now your favorite joke is "your mom". You know that it will always make me laugh. Your ability to stay true to what you like and don't like, at such a young age is amazing. And your love for your friends and family is so matter of fact and pure. Watching you walk into your classroom every morning, is how I wish I walked into every situation in life; brave and kind!

All I want to do in life is to love and be loved by you.
Anything else in my life is just an added bonus. I love you more than I could ever express.
