Love is a choice. It’s not just a single choice we make on our wedding day. It’s a million choices we make each and every day for the rest of our lives. You make it when you prepare dinner for him. You make it when you bring flowers home to her. It’s evident when you choose to forgive a misstep. You see it when you opt to respect rather than criticize. It’s there when you make that decision to keep your eyes, heart, and mind pure and faithful to your spouse. You see it when you encourage and affirm your spouse. If marriage is a quilt, then each stitch is the choices and efforts put forth each and every day to make it the best it can be.
Love is not an emotion or feeling. Love is an action. A commitment. A decision. It can’t be based on fleeting, fickle feelings that come and go more quickly than we can comprehend. It doesn’t say, “I’ll love you as long as you deserve it, and I feel like it.” True love says, “I will love you no matter what, through thick and thin, whether I want to or not, and whether I feel like it or not. I will love you every day and in everything.” Love is commitment, and it weathers all of life’s storms and difficulties. It’s tenacious, unrelenting, and intentional.

I never dreamed that I would find someone who challenged me to see the world in the way that you do; a man who makes me laugh and love with abandon, a man who even after years together still gives me butterflies when he walks through the door. It was a beautiful day composed of fun-filled moments of love and laughter.
Decorated with rustic chic; pastel pinks, gentle greens, sweet babies breathe, and subtle tans.
It was hard to tell who was family and who was friend.
Most seal their vows with a kiss - however, this couple sealed it with a wicked handshake plus a kiss.
There's no telling what they're going to do next.

Last weekend, I had the privilege of photographing (and attending!) my sweet friends Mason and Krystine's engagement party at the childhood home of Mason, in Tallahassee! Mason is marrying the love of his life, Krystine, in the near future and threw an incredible engagement party to celebrate! With all of their closest friends and family in attendance, they welcomed them with a lovely home, great home-made Southern style food, beautiful decor and lots of love.
Mason (a childhood friend) and Krystine are such a sweet friend of mine and I feel so lucky to know them and be involved in such a special time in their life. Each and every part of her wedding experience is so special to me, and I’m so excited to share these photos with you and your loved ones! Enjoy some of my favorites!
